The Etch series consists of two suspensions, the Etch suspension designed in 2010 by Tom Dixon is inspired by a logical mathematical sequence. Its construction is based entirely on 0.4mm diameter metal filaments, which cast complex shadows when lit. It can be hung alone or in groups, above a dining table for example.

As well as the Etch Web, which has a shade made from photoetched pure brass sheets. The Etch Web is designed to cast shadows when lit. A new mathematical experiment: an irregular pentagon is repeated 60 times to form a sphere 60cm in diameter. The Etch Web is designed to brighten up an entrance hall, a hotel or a dining room, alone or in a group.

Tom Dixon

Tom Dixon is a designer who is always looking to reinvent himself. He works primarily in the areas of lighting, accessories and furniture. Since his debut in the 1980s, he has constantly reinvented himself through a series of innovative designs. He has worked with luxury Italian brands with Cappellini, creative director at Habitat and Artek. He then created his own eponymous brand in 2002 to rethink the designer's relationship with industrial design.

The most recent chapter in Tom Dixon's design story began in 2002, when he left professional life to create his own eponymous brand as a platform for a series of new adventures in product and interior design.

Fifteen years later, Tom Dixon has become a globally recognised player in the interior design industry, with his own shops in New York, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles and Tokyo.
