The Bonnet lamp collection from Space Copenhagen is available as a chandelier and a wall lamp.
While its style is a nod to mid-century lamps (such as those by Serge Mouille or Bernard Schottlander), it is a contemporary creation by the Space Copenhagen duo, who say of it:
"The Bonnet collection is partly motivated by our ongoing fascination with opposites. The balance between soft, organic shapes and the masculinity of industrial materials and visible joints creates a modern, elegant and sculptural look and feel.
The Bonnet collection has a strong personality, but is easy to use, whether in a private environment or a hospitality venue."
There are two essential characteristics of Bonnet lampshades:
- they emit light from both ends - one more open, emitting a more dispersed light, the other narrower, for a more focused effect
- they swivel 180 degrees, allowing the light to be directed upwards or downwards, adapting the chandelier to rooms with high or low ceilings.
