The fully upholstered Tearoom series by Nick Ross was launched in 2018 with the introduction of the Club Chair. In 2019, the series now count a sofa and a lounge chair.
The Tearoom was envisioned to be versatile. Both ideal for lounge clubs and environments and exclusive hotel as well as for private homes and living spaces. The Tearoom series is also a comfortable seating collection that will satisfy one's need for comfort during leisure times or relaxing pauses.
Inspired by the famous Willow Chair, created for the Willow Tearooms in Glasgow in 1904, by Scottish designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Nick Ross saw a potential to be exploited. Visually striking, the chair’s essence was mixed with Nick Ross ideas who proposed useful and practical seats that radiate elegance and strict femininity.
The sofa, lounge chair and club chair share common characteristics. Not only do they ooze comfort, but their structure is also inviting. The backrest and the armrests curved gently inward to offer optimal coziness. The Tearoom series is the ideal embodiment of sturdiness and lush comfort.

Nick Ross is a Scottish design who graduated with an MA in Interior Architecture and Furniture Design from Konstfack University in Stockholm, Sweden in 2013. In early 2014, he founded his own eponymous studio.
Nick Ross now lives and works in Stockholm where he develops his designs. When he works on new projects, he often explores the narratives embedded in history, looking at how these affect our understanding of the past and how they can be adapted to our present. He gravitates toward natural materials and he seeks to respect their identities while finding new and innovative ways to use and introduce their potential which brings new dimensions to contemporary spaces.
“I always try to create designs that stand the test of time, as good design is not something you throw away. This lounge chair sits somewhere in the middle between a purely sculptural expression and a functional, utilitarian object. The balance makes it universal in form and function, and gives it staying power.” – Nick Ross
