The Turning coffee table fits perfectly into the Scandinavian furniture tradition, with its simple, elegant lines and attention to detail. Theresa Arns, a young German designer, has imagined a practical, versatile table for storing books, magazines and small objects. The top, made of glued laminated wood, is beautifully grained. It pivots around one of the solid wood legs to reveal the storage space. A refined detail: the table's 3 legs are linked by slender metal rods in black chrome or brass.

Born in Germany, Theresa Rand graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Arts in 2013. As a student in Copenhagen, she fell in love with the city and the Danish tradition of furniture design: "I wanted to go to Berlin after my studies, but I found Copenhagen so inspiring that I stayed."
Quickly becoming a designer to watch, Theresa Arns designs practical, everyday furniture with a soul: "I think I design in a fairly 'German' way. I'm very pragmatic, but I also think it's important to surround yourself with warm, poetic objects."
