The Carl Hansen BT1041 Calot suspension lamp is the work of Danish architects Claus Bonderup and Torsten Thorup. Designed in the late 1960s, it is part of a series of 3 geometric lamps completed in 1970.Â

Bonderup & Thorup
Graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture in Copenhagen in 1969, Claus Bonderup and Torsten Thorup began a collaboration that has seen them work together on design projects worldwide for over 20 years. The two men have designed projects ranging from large-scale architecture to lighting, including a series of geometrically inspired lamps that Carl Hansen & Søn recently updated. Throughout their joint career, Bonderup and Thorup have received much recognition and numerous awards.
