The design can be configured in nine different ways, allowing you to adapt its expression to any interior.

Rikke Frost let materials play a dominant role in the simple, organic design of the Petal lamp, whose main objective was to find a balance. That's why she made the base of the lamp from wood with visible veins that give off a natural, warm radiance, while the light reflectors are made from metal with a cooler but still gentle expression.

The materials thus complement each other harmoniously, while the lamp diffuses an expressive, glare-free light.

Danish designer Rikke Frost has always been curious about combining different craft traditions and material types, a fact clearly reflected in her design portfolio where traditional and contemporary design are expressed in sofas, tables, chairs and lamps with an organic idiom.

This is true of the Sideways Sofa, which is Rikke Frost's first collaboration with Carl Hansen & Son. Here, she blends classic materials such as woven paper rope and wood into a modern, functional design.
