Thierry Dreyfus has made a name for himself in the field of lighting for haute couture shows, signing prestigious collaborations with Comme des Garçons, Raf Simons, Rhude or Peter Marino.
His singular talent made DCW Editions want to take a step aside and design La Lampe B, half lamp, half sculpture, which was first produced in 5 copies, before being produced in a longer series of 25 numbered and signed copies, made in porcelain by the venerable Bavarian factory of Nymphenburg and sold for $9,000 in New York by Atelier Courbet.

The mass-produced version is made of gypsum and anodised aluminium. It is affordable, but does not sacrifice any of its poetry or functionality, thanks to its integrated LED plate.

Thierry Dreyfus

Thierry Dreyfus is a jack-of-all-trades who seizes on beauty to protect himself from the brutality of the world. A deus ex-machina of modern lighting, he is famous for his light installations, a protean talent on the plastic scene, called upon by Comme des Garçons, Raf Simons, Rhude, Peter Marino.

"Thierry Dreyfus captures the essence of light and then transmits it and shares it.
