Ferm Living is a Danish company based in Copenhagen, founded in 2006 by Trine Andersen. Scandinavia Design was the first retailer in France, in 2007.
Ferm Living's aesthetic reflects the history of Scandinavian design, while incorporating international know-how and traditions. Ferm Living's wide range of decorative objects, lighting and furniture allows you to create an authentic and subtle atmosphere.
The Ferm Living company is very Danish at heart, guided by an ideal where aspirations and the quest for meaning are rooted in a relationship with everyday life that is simple and balanced, allowing us to be ourselves without violence or denial. If Ferm Living strives to make our homes welcoming, it's first and foremost so that our personalities can benefit from a setting conducive to their development: it's not a question of impressing the visitor, but of pampering the inhabitant - the famous Danish "hygge" [Read more].

A word from Trine Andersen, founder and artistic director of Ferm Living:
"In 2005, I had just moved into a house with my husband and couldn't find any wallpaper to our taste. So I decided to make my own, which resulted in ten different wallpaper designs. I applied to exhibit them at a trade show in Denmark, but I didn't have the money to make all ten designs, so with just one wallpaper and a handful of prints, Ferm Living was born.
Over the past 14 years, Ferm Living has grown to a scale I could never have imagined. It's as if we'd built a house, and that house has become a home, with many talented employees and an excellent product portfolio that we continue to develop together.
But the most important thing for me is that Ferm Living reflects a set of values we can be proud of. Our greatest ambition is, and always has been, to inspire people to create the kind of space that allows them to feel comfortable and be themselves in their own homes. A home, after all, is much more than a collection of beautiful objects - it's the place where life happens.
We will continue to offer inspiring, quality designs in honest materials, to care for our home by investing in its maintenance - fostering long-term partnerships with our manufacturers and a corporate culture that promotes balance and transparency - and more than ever, to continue and advance our commitment to ethical and sustainable practices that are respectful of our planet.
Thank you for joining us on this journey. Welcome home."
