Our collection of Scandinavian design floor lamps includes many icons that have marked the history of lighting - starting with the seminal works of Poul Henningsen, Arne Jacobsen and Verner Panton, produced by Danish manufacturers Louis Poulsen and VerPan, and the sculptural floor lamps by Alvar Aalto produced by Artek.
These timeless designs are complemented by a host of contemporary creations, many of which adopt the same aesthetic and functional grammar (avoid dazzling, always subordinate form to function, avoid gratuitous effects).
To this rich Scandinavian collection, we have added several French publishers whose approach we felt was very similar, such as Serge Mouille and DCW Éditions, as well as a giant of Italian design, Flos, which today belongs to the same group as Denmark's Louis Poulsen. Japan, the Netherlands and the UK are also represented.
