The Kaiser Idell 6718-W and 6559-W sconces are part of the famous Kaiser Idell collection, which Christian Dell created in 1931 for the lighting factory Gebr, Kaiser & Co.
The original lamp, the 6631 Luxus table lamp, was an immediate success and became the iconic model (still seen today in countless films and TV series) of the collection, which went on to become table lamps, floor lamps, pendant lamps and, of course, wall lamps.
Recognized as a symbol of noble Bauhaus design, the KAISER IDELL series captivates with its geometric lines, exceptional quality materials (hand-painted, chrome-plated or silver-plated steel and brass) and an engineering system.
Dell's patented swivel-joint shade is combined with an extendable scissor arm on the 6718-W wall light to bring flexible, targeted light into the room.

Christian Dell was a German goldsmith and designer. From 1922 to 1925, he was the driving force behind a team of designers working in metal at the Bauhaus in Weimar, inspiring a new design style that broke with the past.
The Bauhaus occupies a special place in the intellectual history of the 20th century, particularly in the fields of architecture, design, art and media. It was one of the first centers of design training, and brought together many of the most important artists and architects of their time.
