The Bellhop lamp collection from Flos switches from plastic to glass. This more luxurious version is available as a pendant and table lamp.
Replacing plastic with glass and metal means even softer, more even light distribution.Â
The Bellhop Verre suspension luminaire is distinguished by its dual function: it combines multi-directional mood lighting to illuminate the entire room, with a targeted downlight, thanks to its lower opening, to illuminate a specific table.
The opal glass triplex diffuser was developed in collaboration with the Flos R&D department. It consists of three simultaneously blown glass layers - two transparent and one white - of varying thickness.Â
The manufacturing process ends with a 24-hour cooling period, starting at around 800 degrees.Â

Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby
Edward Barber, born in Shrewsbury in 1969, and Jay Osgerby, born in Oxford in 1969, studied architecture and interior design together at the Royal College of Art in London.
In 1996, they founded their own design and architecture practice under the name Barber & Osgerby. Since then, they have worked closely together, at the crossroads of industrial design, furniture design and architecture.
