Drome is a versatile table lamp distinguished by its oval shape. The lamp's elliptical shape changes the way it is perceived, depending on the angle from which it is viewed. An integrated, replaceable light source is concealed within the hollow form, creating a unified, minimalist silhouette that allows light to shine through. An in-line dimmer adjusts the light output.

Christian Juhl is a Danish product and furniture designer based in Copenhagen. He graduated with an MA in Furniture Design from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2017. Christian trained as a cabinetmaker and apprenticed with the renowned Rud. Rasmussen in Nørrebro, Copenhagen. Using an exploratory approach to materials, craftsmanship and joinery, he aims to create contemporary, sustainable design solutions. For HAY, Christian designed the Drome table lamp.

The changes in the world situation have led to a recent and sometimes large increase in Hay prices.
