Sylvain Willenz’s Rebar collection is a series of coffee-, side- and tray tables that explores the possibilities of reconsidering construction materials and processes.

The design juxtaposes the reinforced steel bar frame with black marble tops and metal trays to create a balanced aesthetic. The tables are available in different sizes in round, square and rectangular shapes, and are suitable for using in private, corporate or public spaces.

Sylvain Willenz

Sylvain Willenz is a Belgian designer who traveled a lot before creating his own studio in Brussels in 2004. He graduated with a Masters in Design Products from the Royal College of Art in London (2003). His design office has won several iF Awards and the Red Dot "Best of the Best" Award in Product Design, he was subsequently named Belgian Designer of the Year in 2009 and he works regularly in education for institutions such as than ECAL and ENSAV La Cambre. Willenz is a particularly curious designer, immersed in the language of products and industrial processes. Her work spans various typologies and often draws inspiration from graphics, drawings and other 2D sources - her desire is to create sleek, clean designs that are both unfamiliar and familiar.
For HAY, Willenz designed Rebar.
