Fiskars' Classic orange scissors are famous the world over. Like many success stories, they were born by chance: although they were supposed to be black, the machinist decided to finish off the orange colour left in his machine to make the prototypes.
The result was so successful that an internal vote was held and orange won. 

Final recognition: the famous Fiskars Orange® colour has been registered as a trademark in Finland since 2003 and in the United States since 2007.
