Silverback was designed by the Danish designer trio KiBiSi, which also designed, among others, the VIA57 lounge chair for Fritz Hansen. As its name suggests, the design of the Silverback lamp is based on a reflective silver back side, which gives it a floating appearance when lit.Â
Its simple and clean lines allow it to integrate into any kind of stylistic environment. The collection is available in 3 formats: the Silverback pendant, the Silverback wall lamp and the Silverback ceiling lamp.Â
Featuring LED lighting, Silverback can be used with a dimmer. The LED life span is optimized thanks to its good thermal control.

Lars Holme Larsen, Bjarke Ingels and Jens Martin Skibsted collaborated for several years before founding KiBiSi in 2009. The designer trio started their design company as a merger of successful architectural firms: Kilo Design (Ki), BIG architects (Bi) and Skibsted Ideation (Si). Today, KiBiSi is considered one of the most influential design groups in Scandinavia.
The founders of KiBiSi have in common the desire to develop rigorous ideas. Their perpetual effort is to deliver sincere, intelligent products that clearly communicate the idea behind the design. The designer trio often explore the potential of crossing elements from different disciplines to create non-traditional, functional and aesthetic solutions.
With a holistic perspective and an architectural idea, KiBiSi created their first lighting design for Lightyears and the result is both surprising and obvious. Based on a common interest in films, this universe was chosen as the inspiration theme for products and titles emphasizing the iconic nature of the designs.Â
