Marimekko Pre-Spring 2025 – Ostjakki & Jäkälä collection
The Ostjakki & Jäkälä collection features the famous, simple chequered prints fortified by the asymmetrical borders of the cheques, designed in 1983 by Fujiwo Ishimoto. For this pattern Ishimoto drew inspiration for the grid pattern from the Finno-Ugric peoples textiles, using the traditional ikat technique.
The collection counts t-shirts, a hoodie, as well as a knitted trio: vest, cardigan and pullover. AND denim pieces!
