Unikko (poppy), symbolizing creativity, was born in a time when hardly any floral designs were included in Marimekkoโs collections. Maija Isola, however, was fascinated by the theme of flowers and decided to create an entire range of novel floral prints.
The black & white Unikko collection contains the Ruoste shirts and Askare dress in organic cotton poplin, the Myy plissรฉ skirt is back again in both colors, a shirt, trousers and dress in soft silky cupro. Merino and responsible wool for pullovers, cardigan and a dress.ย

ย The Ruoste shirt is made of organic cotton poplin, and it has a relaxed, straight fit and the Unikko pattern. The shirt has a pointed collar, a concealed button list, and cuffed sleeves with button closures. The long, curved hem has side slits.
