Unikko was created by Maija Isola in 1964 and has since become an international icon of print design. The founder of Marimekko, Armi Ratia, believed that it was not possible to faithfully capture the true essence of real flowers in print, which is why floral prints were earlier excluded from Marimekko collections. 

So, Maija Isola designed Unikko to be an abstraction of a flower rather than a photorealistic rendition. Today, Unikko is a powerful emblem of joy and creativity, seamlessly integrated into Marimekko´s design identity.

The Heleys top is made of organic cotton jersey, and it has a slim,     straight fit.

The short-sleeved top features the Helakka pattern and an O-neck with a rib finish.

The Vasta dress is made of organic cotton jersey, and it has a slim,
A-line fit.

The dress features the Unikko pattern, a boatneck with a solid rib finish, long, slim sleeves, and a central back seam.

The Myy plissée skirt has a relaxed, A-line fit and it is made of dense recycled polyester in the Unikko pattern.

The skirt has a wide hem and an elastic waistband.

The Mennyt dress is made of viscose satin, and it has a slim, A-line fit. The dress features the Unikko pattern, and it has an O-neck with a concealed zipper in the back neckline.

The dress has long, slim sleeves, side seam pockets, and central front and back seams. The dress comes with a separate D-ring belt.

The Cavea jersey dress is made of Ecovero™ viscose and it has a slim, A-line fit. Ecovero™ is a trademark of Lenzing AG.

The product contains 8% elastane. The long-sleeved dress features the Unikko pattern and a turtleneck.

The Kumarrus skirt is made of polyester taffeta, and it has a slim, A-line fit. The skirt features separate Unikko pattern flowers sewn on to the fabric.

It has a concealed zipper with long ribbon pullers in the back seam, side seam pockets, and an inside lining.
