The Polar Byzantine rug collection is based on an original poetic story written by award-winning Finnish author Rosa Liksom. Together with Klaus Haapaniemi, they plan and stage the story and the fantastic Arctic world in an opera where animals escape nature's transformation to take refuge in an ice palace far from land.
