Inspired by the traditional checkered table, the Couple coffee table is made of certified wood FSC™️ (FSC-C028824) and ceramic stoneware.
Ceramic stone is a tactile material and is available in two surface finishes, one plain and functional, the other wavy and sculptural.
The Couple coffee table is available in a total of 36 finishes and sizes, from small side tables to large coffee tables.

Sylvain Willenz
Sylvain Willenz is a Brussels-based designer who has been creating furniture, lighting and products for a wide range of international clients since 2004. His award-winning practice focuses on simple, straightforward design with a strong attention to sublime detail. Emphasising both craftsmanship and innovative techniques, Sylvain Willenz works with quality and the intelligent use of materials as guiding principles.
"The Couple coffee table was born out of my research into a traditional and essential piece of furniture - the coffee table. I wanted to propose a new and subtle version of its materials and typology. I was inspired by the materiality of terracotta, such as brick and terracotta, and found a beautiful synergy when combined with wood. I have always been drawn to texture and wanted the design of Couple to have an inherent tactile character produced by the grain of the tile surface. The design allows you to choose or combine tiles with a smooth surface or a soft, wavy appearance. With these distinct materials, their finishes and refined design details, Couple subtly merges familiar furniture with cutting edge features."
