Derived from the indigenous sheep of Afghanistan, the Afghan wool fiber known as Ghazni has the particularity of reaching 30 cm in length.

Thanks to its exceptional length and fine, slightly wavy structure, it offers great resistance and a particular softness.

Hand-spun by women in Peshawar, Pakistan, the fiber retains certain irregularities that will later be reflected in the dyeing and thus in the final piece.

Nomad is available in four colors and is, in its simplicity, a tribute to the beauty of craftsmanship.

Nani Marquina & Ariadna Miquel

True to her roots, Nani Marquina launched her brand in 1987, a time when contemporary rugs didn't exist in Spain.

After studying industrial design at Barcelona's Massana Escuela and building on the success of her first bespoke textile creations, Nani launched nanimarquina, a brand dedicated to the design, creation and distribution of carpets and textile products for the home, based on values such as observation, innovation and enthusiasm, with the aim of using traditional craftsmanship and techniques to create contemporary pieces.

In 1993, Nani Marquina embarked on a bold venture: it moved factories to northern India. The integration of craftsmanship and tradition as a new design concept marked a clear difference, consolidating the brand.

Over the years, the brand has won numerous awards such as the National Design Award and the Premi Cambra un Empresarial la Gestió (Chamber Award for Design Management) in 2005, as well as several nominations for the Príncipe Felipe Company Excellence Award. Nani Marquina was also recently awarded the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce's International Women's Entrepreneurial Challenge, a personal achievement that led to her being named FIDEM's 2007 Woman Entrepreneur of the Year. She has served as president of ADP (professional design association) and Red (Reunión Empresas de Diseño). As of 2014, Nani Marquina is President of FAD, Foment de les Arts i Disseny, in Barcelona.

A graduate in industrial design from Barcelona's Elisava School of Design, Ariadna Miquel's passion for textiles and curiosity about production techniques enable her to create innovative textures while experimenting with color application.

Miquel was awarded the prestigious ADI-FAD prize in 2002. She subsequently participated in various projects for brands such as Alcatel and Bormioli Rocco, taking the opportunity to include her work in the exhibition Reflexus. with Ingo Maurer, at the Santa Monica Art Center, and the installation Flux Mundis at the MNAC, Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya.

After working with Martín Azúa and Emiliana Design Studio, she joined the nanimarquina design team in 2003. She has been closely involved in the development of the brand's collections and those of external collaborators, following each project through to production, hand in hand with suppliers and artisans. In 2008 and 2009, she was a member of the ADI-FAD Board of Directors.
