The Pasila series by young Finnish designer Juho Pasila is a nod to the A338 "Bilberry" suspension by Alvar Aalto, from which it takes up the asymmetrical diffusion of light. “The Pasila series is inspired by modern architecture, elegantly combining clean and round contours. The same lampshade lends itself perfectly to four different applications: pendant lamp, wall lamp, floor lamp and table lamp. The design leaves the bulb socket totally exposed. The magic of design is in the details, including drawing attention to the thread and using an indirect light source. In this series, the design language of the 1950s blends perfectly with current design trends.” – Juho Pasila
