Verner Panton
Verner Panton (1926-1998) was an inspiring and colorful personality. A singular individual with an innate sense of color, form, light and space.
Verner Panton studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen before working for Arne Jacobsen's architectural practice. He set up his own design studio in 1955.
Over the course of his career, Verner Panton created a series of modern lamps and furniture unlike any of his Scandinavian contemporaries. Driven by an unshakeable faith in the unlimited possibilities of form, he succeeded in creating a new set of theories about how lighting and furniture should function and influence their surroundings.
