Nicholai Wiig Hansen's My Chair, designed in 2013, is the closest thing to a new classic: a sleek chair with timeless lines in moulded veneer, whose rounded corners and curved waist counterbalance the rigorous design while moving gently with your body.

"My aim was to design a chair of unparalleled harmony and to try to get closer to that indefinable quality that I believe takes a design to another level. My Chair is a mixture of something familiar and something new, something neutral but characteristic, present but not dominant, simple but also complex, rigorous but also curved. In other words, My Chair is a shell chair as I think it should be" - Nicholai Wiig Hansen.

My Chair is ideal for spaces that require a large number of seats, as it can be multiplied without taking up too much space. Stackable, it offers great flexibility.

Nicholai Wiig Hansen

Nicholai Wiig Hansen has had his own design studio since the age of 26. When Nicholai designs, he takes himself as a target. Proportions are extremely important in his work and details are not added for decoration purposes, but only if they serve a purpose.

He is inspired by everything around him, especially art, food, nature and machines. When Nicholai Wiig Hansen designs a new product, he always thinks the product through in his head before sketching any design. Everything from production to form to the end user's perspective.
