The carefully designed Notch bed frame is made entirely of solid pine, highlighting the beauty and durability of this natural material.Β

Inspired by the traditional notching technique, this frame combines strength with decorative detailing at all four corners. This unique method sets its design apart from other wooden frames.

With its clean lines and natural finish, the Notch bed frame blends easily into a variety of bedroom configurations. Its charm goes beyond first impressions, as the durable pine develops a beautiful patina over time.Β

To prevent fading and ensure longevity, each plank is protected by a UV matte varnish, preserving the wood's natural beauty.

Simon Legald

Simon Legald graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2012. He has worked on the development of numerous products from small to large scale. Legald's designs are the result of an exchange between craft and industry. In his work, he emphasizes the structure of the product, which becomes intrinsic to the design.

"Honesty is what makes a product intelligible and defines its functionality. If you understand the product, then there's no need for explanations. The very purpose of my designs is to be bought and used. So they have to meet functional needs as well as psychological and aesthetic ones. For me, simplicity is what describes the true identity of objects. In my designs, I try not to add superfluous details. All this gives the products a simple, honest expression."
