"The Vig collection was conceived with the intention of creating outdoor furniture that is not only visually aesthetically pleasing, but also functional and durable," explains designer Simon Legald. "By combining Robinia wood with double powder-coated steel, we have ensured that each piece of furniture in the Vig collection offers exceptional durability and resistance to the elements. In addition, we took into account the practicality of the collection, trying to ensure that the majority of furniture is stackable."

Simon Legald
Simon Legald graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2012. He has worked on the development of numerous products from small to large scale. Legald's designs are the result of an exchange between craft and industry. In his work, he emphasizes the structure of the product, which becomes intrinsic to the design.
"Honesty is what makes a product intelligible and defines its functionality. If you understand the product, then there's no need for explanations. The very purpose of my designs is to be bought and used. So they have to meet functional needs as well as psychological and aesthetic ones. For me, simplicity is what describes the true identity of objects. In my designs, I try not to add superfluous details. All this gives the products a simple, honest expression."
