‍“Astep” indicates the necessary movement of an endless journey - the journey of evolution. It indicates a natural but essential movement towards the creation of something better, more substantial, more valuable.

‍Astep represents an admiration for timeless inventions: objects that, regardless of their date of conception or manufacture, retain their edge, their ability to influence lives.

‍In 1978, Alessandro Sarfatti's father Riccardo went one step further: by founding Luceplan with his mother Sandra Severi and architect Paolo Rizzatto, he combined design with technology and envisioned a new business model - working with specialized, talented and hand-picked industrial craftsmen - that has become synonymous with “Made in Italy” quality and innovation.

‍Arteluce and Luceplan have both created one icon after another, lighting fixtures that are not only timelessly beautiful, but also integrate the meaning of life. Astep creates new products for the home - objects that give digital technologies a more significant place.
