Designer Chuck Mack spent a long time working on carpenter's trestle tables, at a time when he was building wooden houses. He began building them himself, making them increasingly strong, light and stackable. Many people praised them and ordered them from him because of their quality. So much so, that one day he decided to elevate trestle design to an art form.
The tempered glass worktop of his Arco desk shows the result of this work. The minimalist design is both practical and functional, and Chuck Mack's training as a carpenter is evident when you examine his work closely. The concept was subsequently developed, and the Arco collection now includes a whole range of desks, tables and consoles.
