Press is a series of luminaires made from thick pressed glass with beautiful surface effects. The shape is reminiscent of sailing buoys and children's toys. The ribbed glass creates an irregular diffusion of light and projects linear and striped patterns.
Press is made by dropping massive globes of molten glass at 1,200 degrees centigrade, pressed into iron moulds under tons of pressure to create immensely durable lights.

He has worked with luxury Italian brands with Cappellini, creative director at Habitat and Artek. The most recent chapter in Tom Dixon's design story began in 2002, when he left professional life to create his own eponymous brand as a platform for a series of new adventures in product and interior design.
Fifteen years later, Tom Dixon has become a globally recognised player in the interior design industry, with his own shops in New York, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles and Tokyo.
