The Color Frame mirrors that Julie Richoz designed for Vitra are a little more than a mirror: they are also a shelf and a colorful geometric object that can be used like a decorative brick to create sets.
Color Frame mirrors come in 3 sizes and 3 color ranges – two in bright colors and one in neutral tones. The four sides have different shades.
The wide frames evoke sturdy wooden toys. Their depth makes them small shelves for small utensils, keys or glasses, or display surfaces for small decorative objects.

Julie Richoz
Julie Richoz (1990) is a Swiss-French designer. A graduate of ECAL/Lausanne High School of Art and Design (2012), she worked for Pierre Charpin as a project assistant (2013-2015). Since then, she has set up her design studio in Paris, where she enjoys developing her own language through objects with curiosity and sensitivity. From the single piece to the industrial scale, she sees a form of continuity rather than difference between the two modes of production.
In both cases fascinated by the know-how, by the passion and by the precision in the processing of materials. His practice extends from objects, furniture, lighting to textiles, for companies such as Alessi, Louis Poulsen, Tectona, Louis Vuitton, La Manufacture de Cogolin, Galerie kreo among others.
She was designer in residence at CIRVA/Center for Research on Art and Glass in Marseille (2013), at Sèvres/Cité de la Céramique (2013), and at Casa Wabi, Mexico (2017). She received the Grand Prix at Design Parade (2012), Swiss Design Awards (2015/2019), Leenaards Scholarship (2016) and was a finalist in the Hublot Design Price (2016). Since 2017, she has taught industrial design at ECAL/High School of Art and Design in Lausanne.
