Mikado is a seat that emanates an aura of both serenity and strength, which impresses not with its shape but with its comfort, optimized thanks to the padding of all parts and the movement of the backrest, which tilts slightly towards the rear thanks to a mechanism hidden under the seat.
Mikado was designed from the ground up with durability in mind: the coverings are not glued and can be removed for cleaning or replacement. The legs can be replaced individually or exchanged for another material – wood or recycled aluminum.
The interior seat panel is made of aluminum containing a high proportion of recycled materials and the back shell is made of post-consumer recycled polypropylene, which can be easily separated from the upholstery foam during recycling. The concept of simple component replacement gives Mikado long-term versatility, ensuring its longevity.
Mikado is available as a table armchair with armrests and a side seat without armrests, each offering a different seating experience, while presenting an aesthetic language so similar that they can be combined ensuring visual harmony around a table or in a given space. Different legs – wood or aluminum – and a wide choice of fabric or leather coverings allow a wide variety of possible combinations.
Materials Soft backrest, back shell in post-consumer recycled polypropylene, seat and back padding in polyurethane foam.
Dimensions 59 x 56,5 x H81 cm – Seat height 44 cm
