Bertjan Pot is a designer, probably best known for his Random Light (1999). The light started as a material experiment, which is basically the start of each product created by Studio Bertjan Pot. The outcome is usually an interior product showing a fascination for techniques, structures, patterns and colors. Most experiments start quite impulsively by a certain curiosity for how things would function or how something would look. From there Bertjan takes on challenges with manufacturers to explore possibilities and push the boundaries a bit. The reward for each challenge is a new one. Studio Bertjan Pot works with manufacturers such as Arco, Established & Sons, Feld, Gelderland, Montis, Moooi and Richard Lampert.

Heracleum is the genus name for hogweed, a common plant of the Apiaceae family. The pendant is indeed a stylistic interpretation of its flower and umbels of umbellules: small stems that separate several times to give clusters of fine petals. The result is very airy and organic.
A LED is located at the end of each ramification and is adorned with a small leaf of polycarbonate that can rotate around its stem. The light thus diffused is unique and sparkling.
The Heracleum II pendant is powered by a specific moooi technology, invented by the Danish designer Marcel Wanders: an "electrosandwich". It allows the LEDs to be powered directly through layers of conductive material within the frame and thus avoid a whole bunch of cables.
The Heracleum II pendant is available in 2 sizes and 2 finishes.
