Designed for HAY by Erwan Bouroullec, Traverse is a range of outdoor furniture designed to blend in naturally with its surroundings. Composed of a die-cast aluminum structure and heat-treated ash slats, the furniture combines sturdy construction with a welcoming expression that naturally develops a patina to embellish over time.
With its balanced aesthetic and ergonomic design, the Traverse collection of chairs, tables, benches and stools blends easily into a wide range of private and public spaces.

Erwan Bouroullec is a French designer and artist based in Paris. He studied at the Γcole nationale supΓ©rieure des arts de Cergy before founding the Bouroullec Studio with his brother. Together, the design duo has transformed the design industry, offering new perspectives on materiality and purpose with an international portfolio that includes furniture, architecture and artwork. Erwan uses a technical approach to create flexible, functional designs in his collaborations with other artists and creatives on multi-faceted projects.
