Grace Outdoor lounge chair

The new Grace Outdoor Lounge Chair marks another step towards GUBI’s mission to honor and elevate the Danish architect and designer Tove Kindt-Larsen’s contribution to 20th-century design. Building on the popularity of her Grace Lounge Chair in rattan, which GUBI developed in 2022 from a sketch Kindt-Larsen made almost a century earlier in 1936, this new edition takes her landmark design into new territory: the outdoors.

Mirroring the crafted expression of the indoor version, the alfresco edition replaces rattan with a sophisticated synthetic equivalent. Made from powder-coated tubular aluminum and polyethylene fibers, this material offers the same flexibility as rattan while reinforcing the frame and improving stability. Its enhanced resistance to weathering and UV ensures that Grace can become a durable and stylish fixture in outdoor spaces such as patios, balconies, and terraces. The deep, generously cushioned seat is filled with a soft foam and includes a specially developed membrane that is both water-resistant and breathable to enable rapid drying if the chair is rained on. The seat is upholstered in outdoor fabric, designed to endure the elements while preserving the exceptional level of comfort that the Grace Lounge Chair is known for.
