Travertin collection – Utzon Can Lis – Ferm Living

Drawing upon the life and philosophy of Jørn Utzon, the Ferm Living x Utzon – Can Lis Collection pays homage to an architect whose work transcended conventional boundaries, exploring the relationship between architecture and place. In collaboration with the Utzon Center, the collection highlights a shared vision of transforming architectural principles into contemporary design.

Built in 1972 as a home for his family, Can Lis stands as a manifestation of Utzon’s design philosophies. Situated on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean, Can Lis employs stone, timber, and light as primary elements, crafting a spatial narrative that engages with the site’s landscape and temporal qualities. It is a place where shadows trace the passing hours, connecting its residents to the rhythms of the natural world and imbuing the home with a sense of living presence.

The Ferm Living × Utzon – Can Lis collaboration is inspired by the family home of architect Jørn Utzon in Mallorca, where natural elements such as travertine merge with design elements reflecting his unique philosophy.
