Ferm Living & Jørn Utzon – The Can Lis collection

Inspired by the life and philosophy of Jørn Utzon, the Can Lis collection pays tribute to an architect whose work transcended conventional boundaries, exploring the relationship between architecture and place. It is inspired by the eponymous house, which the architect built for himself and his family on a cliff in Mallorca.

Completed in 1972, Can Lis is like a manifesto of Utzon's design philosophy. Situated on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean, it uses stone, wood and light as its main elements, creating a spatial narrative that engages with the cape's land and the site's temporal qualities.

It is a place where shadows trace the passing hours, connecting its residents to the rhythms of the natural world and infusing the house with a sense of living presence.
