Ferm Living & Jørn Utzon – The Can Lis collection

Drawing upon the life and philosophy of Jørn Utzon, the Can Lis Collection pays homage to an architect whose work transcended conventional boundaries, exploring the relationship between architecture and place.
In collaboration with the Utzon Centre, the collection is inspired by the Can Lis house that the architect built for himself on a cliff in Mallorca. It highlights a shared vision of the transformation of architectural principles into contemporary design.
Built in 1972 as a home for his family, Can Lis stands as a manifestation of Utzon’s design philosophies. Situated on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean, Can Lis employs stone, timber, and light as primary elements, crafting a spatial narrative that engages with the site’s landscape and temporal qualities. It is a place where shadows trace the passing hours, connecting its residents to the rhythms of the natural world and imbuing the home with a sense of living presence.
