Bone tables – OneCollection – Kasper Salto

Bone table

The Bone table by Danish designer Kasper Salto is available as a coffee table and a dining table. We show it here in walnut, but it is also available in oak and ash.

Its name comes from its base, which is reminiscent of interlocking bones.

Bone table

Kasper Salto had wanted to produce the Bone table since 2002, but its manufacture required a state-of-the-art milling machine capable of handling particularly long pieces. His project is finally a reality thanks to OneCollection and its cabinetmaking workshops in Ringkøbing and Vejen, which have both the equipment and the ambition necessary to carry out this task.

“The idea for the feet came from an old trick of placing three matches in a special way, locking them together. The result is an incredibly solid construction that remains stable even under great pressure, which fascinated me,” explains Kasper Salto. He adds that the round table naturally promotes a sense of equality - no one sits at the head, and everyone meets at eye level. This makes it ideal for meetings and dinners, where conversation can flow freely and without interruption.
