Known for his work on haute couture catwalk lighting for houses such as Comme des Garçons, Dior and Yves Saint-Laurent. This table lamp stands out for its functional yet sculptural design, inspired by the softness of candlelight and organic shapes.
Made from white gypsum and anodized aluminum, Lampe B boasts an elegant, flowing silhouette, measuring 39 cm high, 24 cm wide and 22.6 cm deep. Its minimalist, poetic aesthetic makes it a decorative object as captivating by day, with its soothing whiteness, as by night, when it diffuses a warm light. It features an integrated 7.5W LED, emitting 750 lumens at a color temperature of 2200K, which reproduces an intimate, soft ambience akin to that of a flickering flame. A switch on the 2-meter cable provides simple, convenient control.
Thierry Dreyfus wanted to reinterpret candlelight in a modern and sincere way, creating a piece that doesn't just illuminate, but invites contemplation and serenity. Initially produced as a limited edition (25 numbered pieces in porcelain by the Nymphenburg factory, sold for $9,000), the version accessible to the general public remains faithful to this artistic vision while being more affordable, without sacrificing its quality or charm.
The Lampe B fits perfectly into a variety of interiors - modern, classic or contemporary - and is equally at home in a living room or on a bedside table. It embodies DCW Éditions Paris' commitment to offering timeless, well-thought-out and well-crafted objects that combine technology and emotion. It is a truly luminous work of art that enhances the space it illuminates.
