The Mags modular sofa collection quickly established itself as the flagship collection of Scandinavian modular sofas, and all the brands tried to copy it without ever surpassing it. Hay, for its part, has never ceased to improve and enrich the collection, which today stands out as the most complete and accomplished on the market.
Hay's Flamiber fabric is a top-of-the-range upholstery material used in many of the Danish brand Hay's furniture items, including sofas and chairs. It is distinguished by its composition and properties, which combine comfort, aesthetics and durability.
Flamiber is made from 33% acrylic, 30% wool, 29% cotton, 7% polyester and 1% viscose. This combination of fibers gives Flamiber a texture that's pleasant to the touch, yet soft and resistant. One of its major assets is its great robustness: it boasts an abrasion resistance of 120,000 Martindale cycles, making it one of Hay's most durable fabrics. This means it can withstand intensive use without showing signs of premature wear, making it an ideal choice for furniture intended for everyday use, whether in domestic or public spaces.
Available in 12 colors, Flamiber offers a varied palette for customizing Hay creations, such as Mags or Quilton modular sofas, or AAC series chairs. Popular shades include “Dark Blue J4” or “Cream A5”, which add an elegant, contemporary touch to designs. Its visual appearance is subtly textured, adding an aesthetic dimension to furniture without compromising its clean, Scandinavian design style.
