Origin and concept

The Panthella was conceived with one central idea in mind: that both the base and the shade serve as reflectors. The hemispherical shade, often made of opaline acrylic or metal depending on the version, diffuses a soft, even light, mainly directed downwards. This light is then reflected by the trumpet-shaped base, creating glare-free lighting and a warm ambience. This concept perfectly illustrates Louis Poulsen's philosophy of comfortable, well-thought-out lighting.

Evolution of the collection

Since its launch, the collection has been enriched by various variants:

    •    Panthella Table : The original table lamp, with a diameter of 40 cm and a height of 58 cm, is a design classic. It also exists in a smaller version, the Panthella Mini (25 cm diameter), introduced in 2016 with a metal or acrylic shade.

    •    Panthella Floor : At 131 cm high, the floor lamp brings an elegant presence to living spaces. It retains the same fluid, organic silhouette.

    •    Panthella Portable : Une version plus récente et compacte (16 cm de diamètre), alimentée par batterie, offre une autonomie de plusieurs heures et une recharge via USB-C. Cette lampe sans fil est parfaite pour une utilisation flexible.

Design and materials

Panthella's design is distinguished by its flowing curves and mushroom-shaped silhouette. Materials vary according to model: opaline acrylic for soft, even diffusion, or lacquered metal for a bolder, more modern aesthetic.
