The Taika white collection by Klaus Haapaniemi, published by Iittala, is part of the Taika (“magic” in Finnish) range, launched in 2007. Created in collaboration with designer Heikki Orvola, this series embodies Haapaniemi's poetic, narrative spirit, while offering a luminous, soft aesthetic.
Like all pieces in the Taika collection, Taika white is made from Iittala's signature high-quality porcelain. They are designed for everyday use, being dishwasher, microwave, oven and freezer safe. This robustness ensures that the pieces remain beautiful and functional even after multiple uses, while retaining the brilliance of their colors and the finesse of their patterns.
The pieces in the black Taika collection are made from high-quality porcelain, an Iittala signature that guarantees durability and versatility. They are designed for everyday use, being dishwasher, microwave, oven and freezer safe. This blend of sturdiness and aesthetics makes them as practical as they are elegant, capable of withstanding frequent use while retaining their beauty.
The Taika white collection is ideal for those looking for a design that combines the softness of a white background with the liveliness of colorful patterns. It brings a touch of magic and playfulness to any table, whether for everyday use or festive meals. The pieces match perfectly with each other, but can also be paired with Iittala's more sober collections, such as Teema, for a contrast between minimalism and whimsy. It's also an excellent gift idea for fans of Nordic design or for those who like objects that tell a story.
