The luxurious Grand Relax lounge chair combines a classic understated aesthetic with maximum comfort. The user sinks slowly into the soft cushions that sit loosely on the chair, while the chair reclines thanks to an integrated synched mechanism concealed within the seat. The backrest resistance can be precisely adjusted to the body weight, and the mechanism can be locked at any angle.
The lower half of the outer backrest shell of Grand Relax is covered with embossed split leather for a contrasting effect. It defines the contours of the lounge chair and enfolds the user. Available with an elegant four-star swivel base made of aluminium and a matching ottoman, Grand Relax combines all the characteristics and functions of an exceptionally comfortable reclining chair.

Corsaro
Corsaro is a sophisticated combination of fine and coarse yarns that give the fabric a natural look with a Mediterranean flair. The two-tone and three-tone shades interwoven with several novelty yarns add particular vibrancy to large surface areas.
Cosy 2
Cosy 2 is a high-quality milled woollen cloth with a warm character. The lively melange yarn emphasises the fabric’s natural colours – from delicate shades to vibrant hues – and gains added elegance with colour-coordinated stitching. The fabric offers thermal comfort and excellent durability, making it suited for upholstered furniture in office settings as well as resi- dential applications.
Dumet
Dumet is a cotton blend in a plain weave with a lively appearance. The natural mixed tones create an elegant look with an Italian flair. Dumet is soft and cool to the touch.
Premium leather
Leather Premium is a relatively smooth cowhide leather with a flat grain and fine top sheen. It is dyed-through and lightly pigmented.
The semi-aniline leather is soft to the touch and available in 22 colours.
Forte décor leather (back side of the shell)
Leather Forte (deco) is of the same quality as Leather Forte, but features a decorative finish that is applied to the leather in a patented process.

Antonio Citterio
Antonio Citterio was born in the Italian city of Meda in 1950. He opened his own studio in 1972 and completed his degree in architecture at the Polytechnic University of Milan in 1975. Between 1987 and 1996, he collaborated with Terry Dawn to design many buildings across Europe and Japan. In 2000, Citterio and Patricia Viel formed a multidisciplinary office for architecture, interior design and graphics. The office operates internationally, developing complex long-term projects in synergy with a qualified network of specialist consultants. The practice is now called 'Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel'.
In addition to his collaboration with Vitra, Antonio Citterio works in the industrial design sector with companies such as Ansorg, Arclinea, Axor/Hansgrohe, B&B Italia, Flexform, Flos, Hermès, Iittala, Kartell, Maxalto, Sanitec (Geberit Group) and Technogym. He has received numerous awards, including the Compasso d'Oro in 1987 and 1995. Citterio served as professor of architecture at the Università della Svizzera Italiana in Mendrisio from 2006 to 2016. He was named 'Royal Designer for Industry' by the London-based Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce in 2008.
