The Desert lounge chair consists of a tubular steel frame and a woven fabric seat obtained from recycled plastic bottles. The washable waterproof fabric and the epoxy-finish steel frame are suitable for outdoor use. The PET yarn process begins with collecting, sorting and separating post-consumer plastic bottles before being transformed into durable yarn that resembles thick wool yarn.
Then the PET yarn is hand woven into seats and cushion covers. The Desert collection is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, and after years of good use, the products are easy to dismantle for recycling.

Trine Andersen
A rising star of Scandinavian design, Trine Andersen is a designer specializing in smooth, geometric forms. "Life led me to design, and materials are my primary source of inspiration", she confides.Â
It was while remodeling her house that Trine Andersen, unable to find what she was looking for in the shops, came up with the idea of creating her own wallpaper patterns. In 2006, she founded Ferm Living, which quickly became a huge success. From a wallpaper brand whose colorful designs have become cult favorites, the collections have expanded to include textiles, accessories, furniture and lighting.
