The MS series is a collection of sleek lamps, with clean and modern lines, available as a floor lamp (MS011), desk lamp (MS021) and table lamp (MS022).

The MS lamp series was created by contemporary Danish architect and designer Mette Schelde. Its Nordic-inspired design casts a subtle directional light, ideal for reading or doing concentrated work.

Its dimmable function allows it to adapt to different moods and needs. For table lamps, dimming is done by turning the knob on the base. For the floor lamp, by pressing the switch button.

Made of steel, the MS lamps echo in more than one aspect the PK collections by Fritz Hansen and AJ by Louis Poulsen. Two finishes are offered, brushed stainless steel and black PVD coated stainless steel.

The MS011 and MS021 models are equipped with an articulated arm and a swivel base.

Mette Shelde

Mette Shelde

Born in 1985, the Danish architect Mette Schelde works experimentally from everyday situations, to design objects and functional architectural creations.

In 2012, Schelde created the studio from which she designs furniture and lighting and works on her architectural projects. Through simple constructions, Schelde combines both traditional and sensual materials such as wood, glass and metal in a singular sculptural universe.

Her creative process, from sketching, through modeling, construction and testing, is guided by intuition and by the manifesto she wrote in 2016. Her background in architecture is of paramount importance in her process. Design. His approach focuses on the interactions - between the object, the context and the human - to be able to explore the function of objects and spaces in all its dimensions.

Mette Schelde Studio has received several nominations and awards and is supported by the Danish Art Foundation. The STUB side table, in which the base ingeniously locks the glass circle in position, is Mette Schelde's first design for Fritz Hansen.
