The Appliques Cylindriques were designed by Charlotte Perriand for her chalet Le Vieux Matelot between 1930 and 1938. Her interest in pivoting lamp systems reflects the observation of human gestures: a simple pressure allows the lampshade to be oriented and control the light beam, giving total control on the light direction and intensity. The Applique Cylindrique is available in two sizes : Longue and Petite. Its classic version in light blue metal is also available in anthracite grey and white wash.
