The name Drape comes from the draped effect of its shell, which sits like a plaid on a slender metal frame. The shell itself is made of steel-reinforced hard polyurethane foam and lined with molded polyurethane foam for comfort. The wide seat and generous armrests enable it to be used in a multitude of positions and contexts. The high version comes with a small head cushion. A wide range of covers is available.

Drape is also available with an oak frame.

Simon Legald

Simon Legald graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2012. He has worked on the development of numerous products from small to large scale. Legald's designs are the result of an exchange between craft and industry. In his work, he emphasizes the structure of the product, which becomes intrinsic to the design.

"Honesty is what makes a product intelligible and defines its functionality. If you understand the product, then there's no need for explanations. The very purpose of my designs is to be bought and used. So they have to meet functional needs as well as psychological and aesthetic ones. For me, simplicity is what describes the true identity of objects. In my designs, I try not to add superfluous details. All this gives the products a simple, honest expression."
