The Drape lounge chair takes its name from its upholstery, laid like a drapery over a wooden base. The seat is structured around a steel and hard-molded polyurethane foam shell, lined with a soft-molded polyurethane foam envelope that hugs the curves of the body and offers optimal comfort.Â
Drape's generous shape is balanced by the slender base, whose raised sides form the armrests. The open seat allows a wide range of relaxed sitting postures.
Drape is available in high and low versions, with wood or metal frames, and in a wide range of upholstery finishes.Â

Simon Legald
Simon Legald graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2012. He has worked on the development of numerous products from small to large scale. Legald's designs are the result of an exchange between craft and industry. In his work, he emphasizes the structure of the product, which becomes intrinsic to the design.
"Honesty is what makes a product intelligible and defines its functionality. If you understand the product, then there's no need for explanations. The very purpose of my designs is to be bought and used. So they have to meet functional needs as well as psychological and aesthetic ones. For me, simplicity is what describes the true identity of objects. In my designs, I try not to add superfluous details. All this gives the products a simple, honest expression."
